The Light After the Storm
Have you ever gone through such a tough time that it was difficult to see any kind of light at the end of the dark tunnel? I’m sure that most of us have found ourselves in a few experiences, leaving us feeling pretty low, questioning what our next move is going to be, and possibly so lost and confused we don’t even know where to start. Chaos within our life can create a heavy and thick blinder that blocks out solutions, preventing us from being able to move forward in positives ways.
As adults and as parents, we’ve gone through tough times and we’ve seen our children go through some tough times. When we go through those difficult situations, it’s hard enough to navigate towards, but from a parent’s perspective, it’s never easy to see your child have to suffer. It’s in our nature to protect them, to prevent the negative consequences that life can throw at us. It’s important for us to continue to guide them through processes so that they can learn how to handle things on their own if this situation were to ever present itself again. However, if we are always protecting them and sheltering them, then nothing will ever happen to them, and they won’t be able to learn the very important skill of problem solving…
