The School of Life
When you were growing up did you have the pressure put on you as to whether to go to college? Once that was decided, then came the huge choice as to what college to go to, what major to choose, how you were going to get around when you got there, and what part-time job to get to help pay for the ‘struggling college student’ meals and play-around money. That is a lot of pressure to put on a kiddo who isn’t even 20 years old yet. It’s an example of the momma bird pushing baby bird out of the nest to get them started experiencing adult life.
One thing to consider when raising children is that college isn’t for everyone. Sometimes it is best for our ‘baby birds’ to learn a skill or trade by either going to a trade school or by joining the workforce and being mentored into what they want to do with their lives. Not only does this save us a great deal of money not paying for college tuition, but it also helps children, teens, and young adults to learn quality hands-on information and expertise in areas where they can thrive and possibly teach others to do the same…
