The Carrot on a String

All of us have goals that we want to obtain within our lifetime. We have certain ideas of how we want to live that include the type of house we want, the job or career we would like to obtain, the perfect family, or the ability to earn a certain amount of money per year. For adults these goals are our dangling carrots we strive to chase year after year. Even though these goals might be obtainable for some, for a lot of us they are dreams. Most of us won’t grow up to make a lot of money throughout our lifetime, but we make enough to make ends meet. And we learn to make the best of what we have. Having nice things and feeling important in our job is always a very nice plus, but it’s not everything. Teaching our children that the relationships we have with people who have been put in our life path are what really matters. Showing our children that no matter how much money one has, we should always show kindness to other people and do our best to remain humble…
