Unexpected Acceptance
We all have the need to feel accepted. Whether it’s by our family members, and our co-workers. And even when we meet new people, we want to feel like we belong. Sometimes we expect the amount of time to become accepted by others to take longer than it actually occurs, but it all depends on the people we encounter. Sometimes we must put in some additional work and make an extra effort to become ‘a part of the group.’
The best thing about feeling accepted is a level of trust that has been created between the two parties. A truthful quality about yourself that welcomes a bond from the other person may have developed. Most of the time, this is something that requires time and energy. However, when you have a connection with someone and they unexpectedly accept you as a member of their family, or as a neighbor, or a new friend who quickly becomes valued, it is unexplainably exciting!
